In the Magical Druid process one starts to build the branches up from conflicting actions (as D and D’ in Evaporating Cloud). Then you describe, what is wrong and what goes bad ending up tp “goal or need violation”. From that point one should be able to draw feedback arrow down to the other branches starting entity (describing the chronic nature of the conflict). (Graham Scott could explain this better…)
Have you looked into Flying Logic’s support for “Back Edges?” Also, if you could reply to this with a diagram similar to what you’re describing, I might be able to make better suggestions.
